Churches grow in numbers very easily but in the recent years, a trend of number recession is being experienced by many religious organizations. Fewer members are attending church services each week. A lot of church leaders has worries in the decrease of church finances. Most churches rely heavily on the donations or tithes from the active members. Tithing is a common commandment for any religious organization and it is referenced from the scriptures.
Even though this phenomenon is still ongoing, there are still many religious sects that continue to be strong. Churches are so relevant in any society, especially to the people they serve. In the recent years, some churches have observed increasing numbers of their members. It is ideal to become a member of a church if you want to know more about your purpose in life. Churches do not just focus on the needs of their members but in the community as well. An entire church organization is already considered a community and serving others is one of its church values. Healthy churches always incorporate the spirit of service to their members.

A church that is active in serving others knows the exact needs of the community and its congregation. A thriving church also performs that are usually done by government officials, such as giving of food and educating people. Churches also have their own limitations so anything that is beyond that may not be possible to do. Church services are normally nonprofit services.
Looking for available resources is vital to executing the plan made for community services. It is normal to find people of different faiths conduct surveys to know how they could help other people. Every activity that is executed outside church premises require the use of standardized actions that are stated in the form of a handbook. Leaders are expected to become the best examples in these matters. Each member should be willing to render his or her time and effort, and sometimes money, to the great cause of serving others.
Depending on your willingness, you can actively participate in such causes under the supervision of the church leader. Active churches, such as the baptist church, are always visible in public due to their continuous service projects. A church may just be a building but the congregation inside it tells a lot about its practices. If you know that your church is true, that is when you can conquer all the odds.
